While surfing IMDb for a new show to watch I came across True Detective, a show that had received excellent reviews across the board.IMDb ratings had been pretty reliable in giving me an idea of good a show would be. Season one deserved ten on ten, In fact, It's one of the best pieces of television series I've ever seen. That was a masterpiece. We have Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson playing the leads as 'Detective Rust and Marty' respectively, judging by first viewing, the hope & expectation rises automatically, they won't disappoint you. They are both very different characters yet very strong in their characterization, we get to know how they were in the 90s, and how they have changed into the present day, and how they both have different issues. The overall feel of the show is a little dark, but the mood seems perfect for the show & the cast compliment that brilliantly in season one. True Detective could well be right up there in the future but it's not because of their season two and season three.
Season two and season three is a disaster. Don't even bother with season two and three unless you like being disappointed. It sucks. The creators decided to make things exaggerated and overdone. The characters are unlikeable, insincere and overdeveloped. The acting is also atrocious. The script was ridiculous, silly and contrived. You will almost get the feeling that you are watching a B grade movie.No progression of the story, it is soo slow with endless mumbling. This one does not deserve your precious time
It is a big fail for me and I was disappointed considering the creativity and intensity of the first season.
When I heard Netflix was making a refurbished "Daredevil", I was skeptical at its success but also interested how the show could bring its angle and possibilities. To my surprise, Netflix's Daredevil is a masterpiece. The show is both thrilling and well designed. The plot is exceedingly engaging and thrilling. Every character which is introduced has a proper backstory. Thanks to the writing genius of Frank Miller. Who run's the Daredevil with other writers, such as Bendis and Brubaker. They bring out the incredible storytelling of Matt Murdock who is a lawyer in the morning but being blind, he fights with criminals at nights. The most compelling part of "Daredevil" is the villain Wilson Fisk. Vincent D'Onofrio nailed it. The menace and complexity in his voice even when he's not on the screen, and the cold, calculating and distant aspect of his body language, and the delivery of his dialogue, shows both the depth of his talent as an actor and th
Finally, Punisher has done right! After so many fails from other film companies, Netflix decides to go all out and nailed it. They almost pull him right out of the comic which could not have been easy, from the deep yells as he unloads his guns on the bad guys to the twitch of a man who is now disturbed but slightly keeping it together to the tie in of the Punishers mane nemesis. This show is one of the best Netflix Marvel shows hands down. All of the main characters are great! It's an awesome superhero show, that isn't really a superhero show. Some might say that it's wrong to call The Punisher, Daredevil, etc "superhero" shows. When I first saw the trailer of the show, I thought the usual horror show that used to be so boring. But after watching the first season it blew me away. It's a mini horror movie every week with a unique story. It brings American urban legends into your home each episode.
