MR.ROBOT

We finally have an intense psychological thriller show that doesn't treat its audience like idiots. The creators actually spent some time doing their homework and the result is a work of art. Fantastic characters, iconic cinematography, all thanks to Sam Esmail's ingenious vision. By far it has the closest technical reality when it comes to hacking. No nonsense giant pacmans eating pixels on the screen or progress bars labeled "VIRUS" either. You can see the actual Unix coding on a computer screen.

Staring Rami Malek, Christian Slater, and Portia Doubleday. They are brilliant and the plot is very intelligent. Telling the story of a hard-working, struggling cyber engineer with hard drug addiction. It also depicts a realistic representation of how "our democracy has been hacked." It is also a very real-life story with quotes like, "I should just tell her what she wants to hear," and, "We're all living in each other's paranoia.".It requires the viewer to be attentive every minute in order to understand. It keeps you guessing all the time and comes with a big surprise, so whenever I felt it was getting dull something mind-blowing happens and flips the plot!

To appreciate or to enjoy it, you do not need to be tech-savvy. With the genius writing and pretty much accurate execution of hacking, you will get amazed by it. The voice-overs by Rami Malek, who plays Elliot is intriguing, always leaving me wanting more at the end of an episode, and it never feels "heavy" to me. You will get inside of Elliot's mind.

There is a reason why they got all the major awards like best drama, best actors. Because of their brilliant storyline, superb acting and moreover the actual presentations on how our privacy has been hijacked and how they can be manipulated. It's a must watch.

Recommendation: Highly Recommended.

Monster

People traditionally associate Japanese animes with the likes of Pokemon and Dragonball Z where all that happens are flashy fights. So, it is often very difficult to convince non-anime fans that there's more to them. Monster is not typical anime, it is not even a series or a video, it is an experience I have gone through watching this piece of brilliance called Monster. It is a masterpiece. The show started and the art was realistic for an anime, something I hadn't quite experienced before. The opening theme song wasn't an annoying pop song that grated on my ears and made me snicker. The characters were real. The background music always fit the scenes and was never overbearing. The language spoken was honest and like something I could hear on the street. Germany looked like Germany and not some twisted version of Japan. The story was compelling. You can truly connect with every character. You'll see a person on screen for, at most, five minutes, but they'll ha...

Black Mirror

The black mirror is one of the most creative sci-fi series I have ever seen. It's so realistic in the scariest way. It unflinchingly explores the issues of society through deeply intimate stories and characters and their interactions with technology. It is totally different and witty. Black Mirror is the reflection of yourself on your phone screen when the screen is turned off. A dark reflection of who you are. The intention is to show a dark depiction of ourselves through technology. Exactly what a Black Mirror is.A different point of view, different stories, different but natural talented faces. Some ideas in this artwork could be disturbing you, but this makes it consummate. It questions your life, routines, the choices you made, the basic code of ethics you have. It will not leave you feeling fulfilled. Watching it was an exhausting experience that shook me deeply. The thought-provoking subject matter combines with powerful, desolate stories and excellent performances to c...

Lost

It's Intriguing, mind-bending, well written, perfectly acted, and the story was masterfully told through flashbacks (which I found rather fascinating). Although the finale to Lost was quite underwhelming, it's the moments in between the first episode and the last episode that really make these, one of the greatest. The only thing to say 'It's good to be a little lost.' Recommendation : Recommended.
